The Process
1. Book Your Session
I am so thrilled you have decided to trust me with your Senior Portraits. Now What? Call to book your session date and send in your non-refundable deposit. Once I receive your deposit you will be receiving a confirmation email of your deposit and session date and time. You will also receive a few different forms that need to be completed prior to your session.
2. Waiting for your Session
We are in this together! I know you may be a bit nervous about choosing clothes and accessories but rest assured I've got your back. I will be sending you a Senior Questionnaire and Checklist that will need to be filled out as soon as possible. The sooner I get this the sooner I can get planning and creating your Senior Session that is just right for you! Along with that we also offer shopping services for those that just don't know what to get. We also have a clothing and accessories stash we can pull from the day of your session to add the little touches that will complete your outfit! I know this seems like a lot of work but trust me in the end it will make your session be a memorable one as all the hard stuff will be done before you even got to your shoot.
3. Day of Session
Arrive at my studio or designated location 15 minutes before the photo session is to start. If you are having hair or air brush makeup done arrive 15 minutes prior to that time. I will take a final look at your clothing choices and we will discuss the locations for each as well as add any "extras" for you to borrow to complete your outfit. For those that have had us do a little shopping for you we will have you come 30 minutes ahead to have to try on outfits and pick the look that makes you feel oh so special!
Parents please be sure to bring comfy shoes to walk in, some water, bug spray is a MUST for Summer sessions, & maybe a little snack.
4. Session Completed
Now wasn't that the most amazing and fun experience. And you thought you weren't model material. I guess we proved you wrong. Watch for a few sneak peeks on Instagram and Facebook. Your images will be ready in approximately 3 weeks to view at which time I will give you an online gallery that you can look at and start to pick your favorites before we have your premier ordering session. At this session we can further make edits and cropping to different size pictures to see what they will look like before you order. At this time you will also be able to view other add on items you may be interested in. Now for those of you that don't live close to me don't you fear I have that all worked out to. We still will have a premier ordering session and we will discuss how we are going to accomplish that. Can't wait to share your amazing images with you!

WE can't Forget
about the Boys!
Yes the young men who will be Seniors deserve a special day too! And yes I cater to them just as much as the girls. I think you would be surprised how many young men actually love to have their pictures taken and can't wait to see their images as much and sometimes more then the young ladies. All of the details given above apply to both boys and girls alike. It truly is up to them how detailed and extravagant they want their shoot to be. This may even mean getting air brush makeup before their session. Yes I said it, makeup. But truly it does help even out the tone of the skin to give that perfect picture. No they will not look like a girl. Check out the pictures of Spencer. He allowed his sister to practice airbrush on him and look how amazing the shot turned out. Now guys yes you can do a session without it and they will be amazing too!
Activities that Make you YOU!
When planning your Senior Session don't forget about the things that make you who you are. I know a lot of the time people think about needing to get pictures of all the things they participate in like football, gymnastics, and track but don't forget about the other things you love. Maybe your not a sports person and you love to read or cook. Maybe you take dance outside of school. Maybe hunting with your dad is a favorite past time. Maybe riding horses or playing with your favorite pet is a big part of your life. There are so many other things but all of those things are so important to identifying who you are as a unique person and I would love to be able to capture that little piece of you during your Senior Session.

With Shelly Holmes Portraiture you have options. I have 3 different session to choose from. As I have said before every individual is unique and choosing how many sessions you would like to do is a very personal decision. After deciding on the sessions you would like you also have the option to add on air brush make up, hair, and/or personal shopping. Again, a very personal decision which may or may not be right for you. Lastly after your shoot is over you will be able to pick the print and digital options that fit your family's needs. I do all of my print and digital options a la carte for that very reason. Everything about Shelly Holmes Portraiture is making this experience all about you! That is why I believe in giving everyone as many options possible without holding them to a certain package with a certain number of prints, photo books, images, etc. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to message me or give me a call.
